Peru State Alum, D.C. Financial Advisor to Give Students Advice on Life After College
(Peru, Neb.) Heath Baumann, a 2004 Peru State College (PSC) graduate, will be on campus at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 30, in the Academic Resource Center Conference Room to talk with students about graduate studies and life after college.
Baumann will discuss how students should go about choosing a graduate school and what to expect when applying for jobs. PSC’s Career Services is hosting the event, which is free and open to the public.
A native of Wymore, Baumann earned his undergraduate degree in business administration and marketing at PSC, where he was a member of the College Honors Program.
Baumann is currently a junior partner with Smith Barney, a member of Citi Global Wealth Management Group, in Washington, D.C., where he provides asset management, cash flow management and estate planning for high net worth individuals, small business owners and other organizations. Baumann also serves as operations manager for the American Institutes for Research, where he is responsible for oversight of all day-to-day project operations on a multi-million dollar education project for the third largest school district in the nation. As such, he forecasts and schedules all project budgets, resources, production time and materials for creation of a multi-year transformational curricular and assessment system, including oversight of all product/service development, physical production and subcontractor acquisitions.
In addition to his professional activities, Baumann is working toward a Master’s degree in business administration with a concentration in finance at George Washington University.
