Peru State Music Faculty to Present Recital Tuesday, Oct. 14


(Peru, Neb.) Peru State College (PSC) music faculty will present a recital at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 14, in Benford Recital Hall, which is located in the Jindra Fine Arts Building on campus. The performance is free and open to the public.


The program will feature a variety of musical styles from three performers, including Marcie Malone DeAmbrose, instructor of voice; Kenneth Meints, assistant music professor; and Dr. Thomas Ediger, music professor and director of choral activities.


DeAmbrose, a soprano, will open the program with a concert aria by Beethoven titled Ah! Perfido, Spergiuro. Ediger will then present several of his original compositions for piano, including Toccata and Ardent Yearnings. The recital will conclude with trombonist Kenneth Meints playing Vocalise, Op. 34, No. 14 by Rachmaninoff and Piece Concertante by Samuel Rousseau.
