Peru State College Actors to Perform Musical Comedy “I Do! I Do!” Oct. 9, 10 and 12

 

(Peru, Neb.) Member of the Peru State College (PSC) Speech and Theatre Club will perform the musical “I Do! I Do!” at the College Theatre, located at the south end of Hoyt Science Hall, during three separate performances next Thursday, Friday and Sunday.

 

PSC English and speech instructor Mark Klemetsrud will direct the performances of “I Do! I Do!,” a romantic musical comedy written by Harvey Schmidt and Tom Jones that ran on Broadway for 20 years.

 

David Norris, a junior music education major from Beatrice, and Carmen Schwiger, a sophomore music education major from Bellevue, have the lead roles of Michael and Agnes. Mike Casavant, a freshman from Lincoln, is stage manager.

 

Show times are as follows:

7:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 9

7:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 10

3:00 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 12

 

Doors will open one hour prior to the performances. Admission is $10 for general audience and $5 for PSC students, faculty and staff. Prices will be lowered by half for the Sunday performance for any individual with a ticket stub from Saturday’s Homecoming football game in the Oak Bowl versus Northwest Oklahoma.
