Peru State Music Faculty Duo ‘Aeolian II’ to Perform Recital

(Peru, Neb.) The Peru State College (PSC) music faculty duo known as ‘Aeolian II’ will present a recital at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 12 on campus in the Benford Recital Hall of the Jindra Fine Arts Building. The performance is free and open to the public.
Dr. David Edris, emeritus music professor, and Dr. Thomas Ediger, music professor and director of choral activities, have been performing together as Aeolian II since 1979.
The program will feature modern trumpet and piano music, including Sonatina for Trumpet and Piano by Donal Erb, Suite for Trumpet and Piano by William P. Latham and Caprice by Eugene Bozza. Associate Dean of Arts and Sciences Dr. Patrick Fortney will be a special guest, performing Sonata for Tuba and Piano by Alec Wilder and Waltz for Mippy III by Leonard Bernstein. The program will conclude with Animal Ditties for Narrator, Trumpet and Piano, featuring texts by Ogden Nash. Fortney will serve as narrator for the piece.
