Media Advisory: Campus Closed on July 4; Peru State to participate in Brownville’s Freedom Celebration

Peru, Nebraska – The Peru State College campus will be closed on July 4, 2017 in recognition of Independence Day.  Campus will be open on Monday, July 3 and will re-open on Wednesday, July 5.

President Dan Hanson and his wife, Elaine Hanson, will serve as Grand Marshals in the July 4 Freedom Celebration Parade held in Brownville, NE.  The Peru State Cheerleader Squad and Professional Staff Senate will also participate and plan to hand out special sesquicentennial fans to parade attendees.  The parade begins at 10 a.m.
