Another 150 Event at PSC: Art Gallery Hosts John Falter Exhibit (10/02/17)

To continue the yearlong sesquicentennial celebration on campus, the College is hosting a John Falter art exhibit in the AV Larson Art Gallery beginning Monday, October 2. This exhibit, entitled John Falter: Historical Illustrator and Jazz from Life, has been delivered from the Museum of Nebraska Art (MONA) and will be on display until November 2.

John Falter (1910-1982) was a native Nebraskan who grew up in Falls City (class of 1928) and studied at the Kansas City Art Institute and The Art Students League of New York City. He became a successful illustrator, creating for The Saturday Evening Post 128 covers over 25 years. Also an excellent portrait painter, book illustrator, and painter of jazz, historical, and western themes, he once said, “I found my niche as a painter of Americana with an accent on the Middle West.”

Please enjoy this exhibit during regular gallery hours, Monday-Thursday 8:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. (or by appointment).
