PSC's Campus of a Thousand Oaks, an arboretum, is nestled in historic southeast Nebraska. The state's first college, established in 1867, Peru State offers a unique mix of innovative online and traditional classroom undergraduate and graduate programs, including online graduate degrees in education and organizational management. Peru State is a college of choice fostering excellence and student achievement through engagement in a culture that promotes inquiry, discovery and innovation.
PSC is a member institution of the Nebraska State College System, and we've been accredited since 1915 by the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools.
Comprehensive credit transfer policy
A maximum of 90 semester credit hours from a regionally accredited four-year college or university and extra-institutional sources may be applied toward the minimum 120 semester hours required for a bachelor's degree. Of these 90 semester hours, a maximum of 66 semester credit hours may be from a community/vocational/technical college or other extra-institutional sources. To be considered for possible transfer, courses must have been completed with a grade of "C" or higher from an accredited institution.
Credit for life experience
Students may earn college credit for some experiences and accomplishments outside of the normal college setting. Credit may be granted through standardized examination programs (e.g., CLEP, DANTES, APP), the credit recommendations of the American Council of Education, and/or an evaluation of an individual portfolio or an examination by an academic department of the college.

Peru State has one of the lowest overall tuition rates in the region. In fact, PSC is ranked by U.S. News and World Report as second in the nation for value for out-of-state students thanks to our One Rate, Any State program, which allows students to attend for the same low rate, regardless of residency.
Our new Military Appreciation Program offers current members of the armed forces, veterans, their spouses and dependent children their first course free.
