Graduate Assistant - Residence Life/Football

Anticipated start date is July 15, 2013. 10-month appointment (July – May) with the opportunity of renewal after the first year.



Compensation will be an annual $10,000 stipend, graduate school tuition (student fee portion of online tuition rate and books will be the student’s responsibility), and campus housing and meals during the academic year based upon the dining services hours of operation.


This is a two year assistantship that requires a bachelor’s degree, admission to the graduate program of the College, a background in residence life and collegiate playing/coaching experience. This ten-month position (July 15-May 15 yearly) requires work hours outside of the normal workweek, including evening, weekend and holiday hours.


The Graduate Assistant will be expected to participate as an active member of the Residence Life Team. They will support and assist in fulfilling the mission of the Residence Life Department and Peru State College. The Graduate Assistant will reside in Delzell Hall and provide supervision for residence hall staff and residents, residential education, community development, crisis management (on call responsibilities), student conduct and community operations. The Graduate Assistant will also serve as an assistant football coach. Responsibilities will include coaching on offense, experience with option football is preferred, all aspects of recruiting, assisting with film breakdown, game and practice preparation which includes video cut-ups, serving  as an assistant for equipment, and other duties as assigned. Peru State College is an NAIA institution.
