Director - Budget

Salary: Upper $40,000’s, depending on qualifications and experience. Excellent benefit package.

Bachelor’s degree in accounting or equivalent required; MBA or CPA preferred. Bachelors degree outside of accounting field may be considered if individual possesses extensive training and work experience in the accounting area in addition to the bachelors degree. Two years of experience in a related field required. Candidate must be computer literate with current financial spreadsheet techniques as well as internet experience. Experience with SAP, PeopleSoft, WebFocus, and basic proficiency with MS Word, Access, and Excel as well as experience in the areas of accounts payable and audit work paper preparation beneficial. 


The Director – Budget is responsible to the Vice President for Administration and Finance (VPAF) for all budgeting, budget reconciliation and related financial reporting both internal and external. The Director is responsible for the preparation of the biennial budget request and the annual college budget, as well as for the preparation of financial and budget reports for internal fund controllers and external agencies, including the Board of Trustees, the Coordinating Commission for Post-Secondary Education, the legislative Fiscal Office, and the Executive Budget Office. This position is exempt with regard to FLSA overtime provisions.
