Position:

Assistant Director – Residence Life

 

 

Start Date: Application review begins immediately and will continue until the position is filled.
Salary: Salary upper $20’s to low $30’s, depending upon education and experience. A fully furnished on campus apartment is provided including all utilities, laundry facilities, high speed internet and cable are provided – must live on campus; Meal plan provided per semester when classes are in session (excludes summer); and a reserved parking space (permit purchase required). Excellent benefits package.
Qualifications:

The successful candidate will have earned a Bachelor's degree. Additionally, the candidate will have demonstrated awareness of and sensitivity to diverse student populations; a knowledge of housing management software or propensity toward learning new technology in a fast-paced environment; demonstrate strong oral and written communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills; and have demonstrated success building collaborative working relationships throughout the College community and external audiences. Successful candidates will be committed to personal growth, possess mature judgment, and a student development philosophy. One or more years of full-time residence life experience and knowledge of StarRez is preferred.

Responsibilities:

Peru State College seeks candidates for the position of Assistant Director for Residence Life to provide leadership to the functions of the Office of Residence Life in a dynamic team atmosphere. The Assistant Director administers the comprehensive living-learning environment for all residence halls and campus apartments.  This person serves as the primary professional staff available for all on-campus housing under the leadership of the Dean of Student Life.  The Assistant Director provides supervision to the graduate and undergraduate staff and manages the day to day operations including using housing management software.  This person is responsible for facilitating community development that enhances academic success and personal growth and is required to live in an on-campus residence hall apartment or equivalent. The Assistant Director also is responsible for the educational curriculum in the residence halls through the supervision and management of the programming model, the development of living-learning communities on campus, and advisement of Residence Hall Association (RHA).  This is a 12-month position with some non-standard hours.
