Licensed Student Counselor



Start Date: Application review begins immediately and will continue until the position is filled.
Salary: Salary $38,000 - $41,000 DOE/DOQ. This is a ten-month/year, full-time position (.84 FTE). Excellent benefits package.

Master’s degree required. Eligibility for Nebraska mental health practice license required. Employment experience involving career guidance strongly preferred. Successful candidates should demonstrate: 1) excellent interpersonal skills and judgment, 2) proficiency in developmental theory and its application to the college experience, and 3) ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds. Experience involving academic advising is desirable.


The Licensed Student Counselor provides short-term individual counseling and coordinates a career services program. This position is responsible for providing support, guidance, information, and skills-training related to career exploration and job readiness; advising undeclared students; and coordinating an annual career fair.
