Graduate Assistant - Admissions

Anticipated start date is: Aug. 1, 2013 10-month position with the opportunity of renewal after one year. 



Compensation will be annual $10,000 stipend and graduate school tuition.



This is a two year assistantship that requires a bachelor’s degree, and admission to a graduate program of the College. Prior experience with recruitment or admission work is desired but not required.  A commitment to serving students and strong interpersonal skills are essential.  Exceptional planning and attention to details, problem solving, time management, analytical skills, and excellent verbal and written communication skills also required. Candidates with strong leadership abilities and involvement with student recruitment find themselves well suited in this position.

This ten-month position requires work hours outside of the normal workweek, including evening, weekend and holiday hours.


The Graduate Assistant will be part of the Admission team and help contribute to the overall recruitment efforts of the college.  This position will focus on out of state freshman recruitment, territory management, orientation and other recruitment programming.
