Financial Aid Counselor



Start Date: Application review begins immediately and will continue until the position is filled.
Salary: Salary low $30,000’s, depending upon qualifications and experience.  Excellent benefits package.

Bachelor’s degree required. Must be able to obtain access to all necessary Financial Aid databases. Must maintain confidentiality of information concerning student records.  Excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as the ability to think independently required. Excellent organizational, decision making, and interpersonal communication skills highly preferred. Intermediate accounting skills preferred. Successful completion of background check is required.  


The Financial Aid Counselor answers questions and provides financial aid information regarding scholarships, federal grants, work study, and federal student loans to students and families. Will review and verify financial aid files, track scholarships/waivers, run reports and draft award letters as well as process financial aid awards as instructed by the Director. Will apply Federal and State regulations and institutional policies to daily operations.
