Nine month contract salary mid $40’s to mid $50’s, depending upon qualifications. Possible opportunity for additional summer pay. Excellent benefits package.
The ideal candidate will have a terminal degree in a related area, and online and classroom teaching experience. Candidates with a graduate degree and significant professional experience may be considered for an instructor level position. An interest in pursuing a terminal degree, which is required for tenure, is preferred. Relevant industry certifications desired. Background in web-design and database management preferred.
Teaching up to a 12 hour load per semester of online and onsite undergraduate and/or graduate courses, advising and mentoring students, providing service to the College, active participation in campus life on main campus in Peru, NE, and implementing an active professional development/academic discipline contribution plan. Faculty members are expected to demonstrate commitments to continuous improvement of instructional practices and student engagement in and outside the traditional learning space. Incumbent will teach several sections of introductory software application courses, as well as upper division courses in the CMIS program depending on background.
