Position:
Business Process Specialist Focus: PeopleSoft/Campus Solutions/Financial Aid

 

Start Date: Application review begins immediately and will continue until the position is filled.
Salary: Salary range $36,000 - $45,000 commensurate with experience, skills, and qualifications.  Excellent benefits package.
Qualifications:

Please note, this is a technical position. Please read entire summary of responsibilities and qualifications. Attention to detail, analytical skills, and organizational and problem-solving ability is required. An understanding of relational tables, PeopleTools basics, SQL writing ability is also required. Must possess demonstrated ability to read, analyze and interpret the bundle release notes posted from Oracle and disseminate the information to the Financial Aid staff. Proficiency with MS Office products and a working knowledge of PeopleSoft Financial Aid required.  A bachelor's degree in computer science or related technical field is desired. Additional professional education or certification related to the specific software systems being supported is highly desired. Knowledge of state and federal laws affecting student federal financial aid is desirable.  Experience writing reports with IBI WebFocus is also desired. Experience in writing equations for packaging and population updates preferred, as well as business process re-engineering skills, and business process mapping skills.

 

Responsibilities:

Principal duties and responsibilities include (but are not limited to): responsible for technical and analytical duties focused on support of the financial aid functional operations for Peru State, Wayne State, and Chadron State Colleges, which share a student information software system. This includes understanding, tracking, and analyzing data systems and their interfaces, which support the efficient flow of financial aid business processes. This position will also support the technical training, documentation, set-up, testing, and reporting required. Will work with functional and technical staff to manage, develop, and ensure the integrity of the data processes and systems within the Financial Aid Offices at the three colleges,  and be the liaison with the statewide system administration team, analyze and understand the functional relationships between various (areas) modules in the system, assist with functional planning, development and ongoing support and maintenance of the financial aid system, understand business processes and resolve systems issues. Will also test setup and business processes, assist with module security updates based on regulatory releases, software defect management, module functional support, process oversight and scheduling, and perform ad hoc query writing. Will analyze the impact of the software upgrade bundles to current functionality, and participate in cross functional discussions that impact financial aid.
