Accompanist (.84 FTE)

Start Date: As soon as possible after August 1, 2014. Application review begins immediately and will continue until the position is filled.
Salary: Salary high $20’s to low $30’s, commensurate with qualifications.  This is a ten-months/year position (.84 FTE). Excellent benefits package.

Relevant Bachelor’s degree required. Master’s degree in piano performance, collaborative piano or closely related field preferred.  Must have successful experience in accompaniment of groups and individuals.  Prefer two to three years experience in collaborative work, choral ensemble accompanying, and vocal accompanying.  Experience in an educational setting desirable.


Will perform as a musical accompanist for the music department, ensembles, choirs, recitals, juries, auditions, rehearsals and lessons.  Will provide support for student and faculty musicians through collaborative performance at the piano in rehearsal and in recital performance, accompany choral ensembles in rehearsal and performances, assist in areas of recruiting, outreach, and public relations, organize, manage and promote annual department events, and assist with coordination of scholarship auditions and communications.  Will need to be available evenings and weekends occasionally.  May teach one course per semester and perform other duties as assigned. This position is exempt with regard to FLSA overtime provisions.
