| Admission Requirements |
Have you applied for admission into the graduate program? If not, please fill out and submit the online application - APPLY NOW!.
Have you submitted the following?
- Official transcripts from the accredited institution that awarded your Bachelor's degree. This transcript must be sent to Peru State College's Admissions Office directly from the institution where you received your degree. Students who received their bachelor degree from Peru State College must contact the PSC's Student Records Office to request a transcript be forwarded to our Admissions Office.
- Copy of your teaching certificate (Education students only)
- Two letters of recommendation - Curriculum and Instruction students; Organizational Management students. One recommendation must be from a supervisor. Recommendation forms from relatives are not appropriate.
- Professional Resume
When admission requirements have been met, you will receive "full-admit" status at Peru State College.

Access to your student email account
An Acorn icon is located on Peru State College's home page. Students can view their exact email address through their myPSC Student Center.

Blackboard Orientation
Students enrolled in graduate courses are assigned a Blackboard account prior to their first course's start date. New students are enrolled in the Blackboard Orientation. The link to Blackboard orientation will be the only link available the first time you enter Blackboard.
Your username for Blackboard is your NUID. Your password will be the month and date of your birth: example: if your birthdate is August 31, your password is 0831.
Students receive an email from Peru State College's Distance Education Office. Check your acornmail email account regularly until you receive the "Welcome to Your Course" email. Once you receive the email, follow the directions for logging into Blackboard and completing the orientation. When Blackboard orientation has been completed and when the email states, a link to the current course(s) will be available.
Blackboard orientation consists of introducing you to our Graduate Programs courses and familarizing you with the screens you are most likely to use while completing your coursework.
Students complete orientation one time only. Subsequent courses will be available in Blackboard on the dates your next Distance Education email states.

| Apply for Graduation |
Students must submit the Application for Graduation and the application fee (currently $40) in order to be considered a candidate for graduation.

Application deadlines
- October 1 - May and August graduates
- March 1 - December graduates
One commencement ceremony is held each year, the first Saturday in May, on the main campus in Peru, Nebraska.
August graduates are allowed to participate in the May previous to actually graduating or the May following graduation. December graduates are allowed to participate in the May following graduation.

| Exit Survey |
- As a final degree requirement, all graduate students complete and submit an Exit Survey. Information from the survey is used for accreditation purposes.

| Master of Science in Education |
- Master of Science in Education students will utilize an online program called LiveText. Students are required to purchase a multi-year membership for the program and complete an electronic portfolio throughout the coursework. Students will be introduced to this process and program during the first course - Educ 512.
- Students submit the LiveText portfolio to receive admission to candidacy. The Application for Admission to Candidacy and the Program of Study forms are submitted as a requirement while a student is enrolled in Educ 600 - Sociology of Education. Students usually have completed 18-24 credit hours when enrolled in Educ 600. The portfolio must receive a minimum of 60%. Admission to Candidacy approves a student's program of study for completing the remainder of the required coursework. Candidacy confirms the student as a prospective candidate for the degree.
- Students submit the LiveText portfolio while enrolled in Educ 623 - Assessment of Instruction for graduation approval (80% minimum). Students take Educ 623 as close to their last semester as possible.
