Master of Science Program Orientation

Have you submitted the following?

• Official transcripts from your accredited institution that awarded your Bachelor's degree
• Copy of your teaching certificate (Education students only)
• Two letters of recommendation - Curriculum and Instruction students; Organizational Management students.  One recommendation must be from a supervisor.
• Professional Resume

When conditional admission requirements have been met, a letter will be sent to you stating you have received ‘conditional admission’ to the program.

Access to your student email account
To access your student email account, go to the following address: http://acornmail.peru.edu

Username
jodoe (insert the first two letters of your first name and complete last name)

Password
JOHN (insert your first name, no nicknames, in all capital letters)

Press enter and you should be directed into your email account. 

Blackboard Orientation

All students are automatically enrolled in the Blackboard Orientation. A link within your Blackboard account is made available to you shortly before each semester begins.

You will learn how to access your Blackboard account in an email that you will receive in your acornmail account (your Peru State College student email account).

Information on how to login to your student email account will be mailed to you by Peru State College's Business Office. Upon receiving this information, you should login to your PSC email account and look to see if you have received an email titled "Welcome to Your Course".

This email will provide you with all of the information you will need to login to Blackboard and complete your Blackboard orientation.

Continue checking your acornmail email account until you receive the "Welcome to Your Course" email. Once you receive it, follow the directions for logging into Blackboard and completing the orientation.

Application deadlines

• October 1 - May and August graduates
• March 1 - December graduates

One commencement ceremony is held each year, the first Saturday in May, on the main campus in Peru, Nebraska.

• Master of Science in Education students will utilize a program online called LiveText.  Students are required to purchase a membership for the program and complete an electronic portfolio throughout the coursework.  Students will be introduced to this process and program during the first course - Educ 512.
• All education students are required to complete an exit survey at the completion of their program. This will be completed online within your LiveText account.
