Master of Science in Education - Curriculum and Instruction

The Master of Science in Education - Curriculum and Instruction degree provides opportunities for certified teachers to further their knowledge and skills in the field of teacher education.  Much of the required coursework focuses upon current theories, practices, and trends in curriculum and instruction.

Peru State College offers you a choice of two effective program formats through which you can earn your degree!

 

  1. Cohort Online Program
    Complete the 36-credit hour program in 19 months as a member of a cadre of teachers who progress through the program as a cohort.  The cohort format combines 8-week and 4-week courses that are sequenced with a full-time teacher's schedule in mind.  Complete the program as part of a collaborative and supportive community of learners who are all working toward the same goal!     New cohorts will be formed for Summer 2009.  You can still take some graduate-level courses this fall and next spring - online.  Check out the online program below.
  2. Online Program
    Complete the 36-credit program at a more leisurely pace by completing the core Curriculum and Instruction courses and selecting program electives that meet your needs and interests.  All online courses are 8 weeks in length and are offered across the 12-month calendar.

    The flexible online format allows you to decide which elective courses will complete your program; within these courses, you may select a set of specific courses to complete a Certificate of Achievement in one of three areas:  Classroom Behavior and Management (CBM), Instructional Technology (IT), or Instructional Mastery (IM).  Click here to learn more.

Master of Science in Organizational Management - Entrepreneurial and Economic Development
