NOTE: Educ 301 and Educ 302 main campus sessions (01A) will be completed in the Nebraska City Schools. Indicate whether you want upper or lower elementary.

 

EDUC 301 03A and EDUC 302 03A (Offutt Annex sections) will be completed together in either the Papillion-LaVista or Ralston Schools. Sign up for the same district for both practicums.

 

Note: EDUC 208 students are not allowed to submit the practicum application until meeting with the EDUC 208 instructor during the first week of classes.

 

Note: Students applying for the EDUC 309 practicum in Spring will be placed only in the Omaha, Council Bluffs or Lincoln areas. Select districts only in these areas for your preferences.

 

If you get the "page cannot be displayed" notice when you submit the application, go back and find the text box that you did not enter any information in and fill it out. The error means that the confirmation page cannot be displayed due to missing information. If you still have problems, come to the education office suite to submit the application on one of our computers so we can help you with it.

You will complete one of these for each field experience. This is an oath that you sign in front of a notary. Please print it out on one sheet / two sided. Be sure to fill out the practicum course number (ex. Educ 208 00A) and the term. (Example Fall II 2011)
 

Staff who are notaries are available in the campus education suite TJM 207.

 

PSEA Membership Application

With Peru Student Education Association membership, you receive professional liability insurance, you must have this insurance prior to entering a school for your practicum. This membership is for the academic year, September 1 through August 31.

• Complete the information requested and select student membership
  
• Peru State College is listed as ST COLL PERU-Student on the application. Make sure you indicate PSC so you end up on our master list. Do not use the mail-in form to join.
• Select your class level (note: DO NOT select freshman)
• You will receive an e-mail confirmation/receipt and a welcome message from NSEA. Retain the receipt email.
• This membership is required for all students prior to the start of your practicum placement. The NSEA will provide us with an updated membership list each week. If you have been notified you have a placement and do not want to wait for the list to arrive, you may print or forward the receipt/confirmation email to Mrs. Rippe at PRippe@peru.edu.

• You will need a credit card to pay (cost is $31.00) and one thing to be aware of: The students address has to match the address where the debit or credit card statement is mailed to. So, in other words, if a student's credit card statement is mailed to their parent's address, then they need to enter their parent's address.
