Dr. Jodi Kupper is the Dean of the School of Education at Peru State College, in Peru, Nebraska. She administers the 18 undergraduate teacher education programs and the Sport & Exercise Science program offered at the college. Additional responsibilities include overseeing accreditation processes and assessment initiatives related to teacher education and ensuring that all teacher education programs meet current requirements, as established by the Nebraska Department of Education.
Dr. Kupper also represents the college at the state and national level for teacher education. These activities include serving as a member of the ESU#4 Superintendents' Advisory Committee, serving as a commissioner on the Nebraska Professional Practices Commission, and currently holding the office of President of the Nebraska Association of Colleges of Teacher Education (NACTE). She also serves as a national NCATE Board of Examiners member.
Prior to her arrival at Peru State College in July 2005, Dr. Kupper spent seven years at Millikin University in Decatur, Illinois, initially as an Assistant Professor of Middle Level and Secondary Education and then as Director of the School of Education. She was responsible for teaching secondary methods, adolescent psychology, and middle level philosophy.
She resides in Lincoln, Nebraska with her husband, Bernie.
