Internet Explorer Users: "My Blackboard" and "Courses" Tabs Missing
If the "My Blackboard" and "Courses" tabs fail to appear in the upper right top frame of your browser, you are most likely using a unsupported version of Internet Explorer.

To resolve this issue please upgrade to IE 8.0 or greater. You can also use a supported version of Firefox to access Blackboard.
Windows 7 users with IE and Office 2010 may experience the following issues when opening Office documents from Blackboard, while using Internet Explorer:

While opening/editing Word the following error message appears: "This document could not be registered. It will not be possible to create links from other documents to this document." Clicking ok will open a Blackboard Login page within the document.
While trying to open/edit PowerPoint files users are taken to a blank screen.
Solutions:
1) Add the Blackboard Website to Trusted sites.
- Choose “Tools”
- “Internet Options”
- Select the “Security” tab
- Click on the “Trusted Sites” icon
- Click the “Sites” button
- “Add” “http://perustatecollege.blackboard.com”
- Uncheck the the box to “Require server verification (https:…”
- Click “Close”

2) Download the document and open it from your hard drive.
3) Using Firefox will allow you to open the document from within your browser.
SafeAssign Feedback not available in “My Grades” area:
In some cases the link to view instructor feedback on a graded SafeAssignment is not available through the students “My Grades” page. Students can still access instructor feedback by visiting the SafeAssignment link, where the work was originally uploaded.
"Please Enter a Valid File" Message:
Internet Explorer 7 users receive a “please enter a valid file” message when trying to upload a document into Blackboard. This issue is caused by a problem with your internet browser.
If you are using Internet Explorer 7, please click on the link below and follow the directions to “Reset Internet Explorer Automatically” to resolve this issue.

Blank Screen in Office 2007 PowerPoint:
If you are an Office 2007 user and experience a blank screen when opening a PowerPoint in Blackboard, please follow the directions below.
Solution One:
1. Right click on the link to the PowerPoint
2. Choose the 'Save target as' option
3. Save the PowerPoint to your computer’s hard drive (i.e. Desktop or My Documents)
4. Open the PowerPoint directly from your computer
Solution Two (Update your copy of Office 2007):
1. Open PowerPoint on your computer
2. Click on the Office Button (circle icon in the left hand corner of your screen)
3. Choose PowerPoint Options, on the bottom right
4. Choose 'Resources'
5. Click on 'Check for Updates'
6. Follow the instructions given to install all updates related to Office 2007
