Barb joined the Peru State College staff in July 2022 as Accompanist, where she plays for the choral ensembles as well as for the vocal and instrumental private lesson studios. Barb received her Bachelor of Music degree in PK-12 Vocal Music Education from Hastings College in 1998, and her Master of Science in Education from Peru State College in 2023.

Her teaching career has taken her to Arkansas, Iowa, Minnesota, and eventually back home to Nebraska, where she was born and raised. For 23 years, she had the pleasure of teaching in both rural and urban school settings, as well as both private and public schools.  Barb has been an avid pianist over the years, playing for schools, churches, and choirs. She enjoys singing in the Women’s Choir and teaching piano lessons for Sing Omaha. Her love of learning and connecting with students continues at Peru State College and she looks forward to the performances that are to come.
