I am the office assistant who sits at the main desk in the Center for Achievement and Transition Services (CATS) building. I am usually one of the first people that you see when you come into our building. I try to be as helpful as I can, giving directions to different locations or people. I do data entry and file keeping for Dr. Waln, director of Assessment and Success; Ms. Marie Meland, Tutorial/ADA coordinator; and Mrs. Alice Holtz, Coordinator of Cooperative Programs. I setup and keep appointments for room usage in the CATS for the conference room and the classrooms (when they are not occupied by students).
I have been working at Peru State College since April, 2009. My husband farms and raises a small number of hogs. We have two children; one is a student here at Peru State and the other will be a senior in high school. I received a Bachelor of Science degree in Animal Science from Iowa State University many years ago. Starting this fall, I will begin working on a CMIS degree. It will be a leisurely process, because I would like to enjoy school and look forward to going back to the classroom.
