Dr. Bill Snyder has announced his retirement.
After nearly four decades of teaching in the Peru State College Business Department and serving in administrative roles for PSC, Snyder will retire at the end of the 2010-2011 school year.
Snyder originally joined the PSC faculty in 1970. He left for a few years after the 1972-1973 school year, then returned in 1979. He has since served in various roles at PSC, including as Vice President of Academic Affairs, Interim President, and as a faculty member teaching economics and management courses. In addition to serving in several roles at PSC, Snyder has during his career taught at Johnson-Brock Public Schools in Johnson, Columbus City Public Schools in Columbus, and for the Peru Achievement Foundation and Bank of Peru.
Bill has been given many honors and awards during his career, including the Nebraska Outstanding Young Educator from the Nebraska Jaycees. He has also served as President of the Nebraska Business and Economic Association and as a member of the Auburn City Council.
Reflecting on his long and successful career, Snyder calls “kind words from his students” among the most valued and important honors he received.
Please RSVP by June 10, 2011.
