Lady Bobcats dominate Tigers in win

Bobcat Basketball
Peru's Duop leads Bobcats in scoring.

McPherson, KS – The Peru State College Women’s Basketball team picked up their second road win in as many days on Saturday as they defeated Central Christian College 87-67.

The Cats had the game in hand from the start and never looked back as four players finished in double figures with Alicia Bender leading the way with another double-double in 20 points and 10 rebounds. Nyahok Duop added 12 points while teammates Katie Potter and Avyn Vaden each threw in 11 points in the effort.

Overall the Bobcats shot 49% from the floor on 25 of 51 shooting, 25% from the arc on four of 16 and 84% from the line on 33 of 39. Free throws were a big key to the victory along with a 46-40 rebounding margin despite the Cats turning the ball over 30 times.
