Burks posts double-double in loss

Peru, NE - The Peru State Men's Basketball team committed 26 turnovers as the Hastings College Broncos picked up a 96-69 victory.

 

Peru was led by Steven Burks who finished with a double-double scoring 22 points and 13 rebounds in the loss. Matt Drommond came off the bench to score eight and Jovan Hitch added seven in the effort. Peru was behind just two points at the break, 39-37 but allowed the Broncos to open the second half with a 13-2 run in the first four minutes.

 

Despite shooting 51% from the floor in the first half, the Bobcat managed on 33% from the floor in the second as they finished shooting 41% for the game. The Bobcats out rebounded Hastings 36-35. The Bobcats will be off for Holiday Break until they return on January 1st and 2nd as they play in the Bethel Classic.
