Peru State Baseball takes two from Dana College

Blair, NE – The Bobcat Baseball team picked up two wins on Tuesday as increased their record to 21-15 on the season, with scores of 10-2 and 15-3.
Yimy Rodriguez got the start and the win in game one, throwing five innings and giving up just five hits and two runs. Nate Goodrich and Shawn Staszczyk finished up the game coming out of the bullpen allowing no hits. The Bobcats offense scored up and down the line up, totaling 14 hits in the game. Mark Houck was 3-4 with two RBI’s, a double and a homer. Gary Hall was 2-3 with three RBI’s while James Welty and Clayton Brigham each had a pair of hits.
In game two the Bobcats once again put up good offensive numbers up and down the line up. In the run rule shortened game, the Bobcats busted out for 16 more hits. Ryan Baroudi went 3-3 with a triple and two runs scored. Bob Last was 2-2 with two runs scored with Mark Houck going 2-3 with three runs, two RBI, a double and a homer once again. Jon Sanley got the start on the hill throwing the first two innings, then handed the ball over to Matt Martin to pitch the third and fourth to get the win. Vince Eberhard came into the game in the fifth to close the door.
