Coach Davis is a native of Boone, Iowa where he played baseball and was an
all-conference, all-district performer.  He was also selected as the Mid-Iowa Player of the Year as a pitcher.  Following his high school day, Davis played two years of baseball at Hesston College in Hesston, Kansas where he served as the ace of the pitching staff and was selected as an All-Region player.  Coach Davis played his remaining two years at the NCAA Division Two level at Pittsburg State University.  There he served most of his time as a Mid/Long Relief Pitcher and was a Commissioners Academic Award recipient.

Davis also served as an assistant coach at Carl Junction High School in Carl Junction, MO, primarily working with pitchers and catchers.  He also spent a summer working at the Mickey Owen Baseball School in Miller, MO, getting the opportunity to work with a number of college coaches and former professional players.  This past summer Davis served as the pitching coach for Dawgs summer baseball program in Alberta, Canada.

Coach Davis will serve as the Bobcats pitching coach, as well as, working with the catchers and maintaining Centennial Field. He also teaches in the Physical Education department at PSC.

Coach Houck begins his first season as a Bobcat assistant after a very successful two year stint as a player.  Houck is a native of Derby, New York where he attended Lake Shore high school and was a three sport athlete in soccer, basketball and receiving all-conference and all-western New York honors in baseball.

After high school Mark attended nationally ranked Erie Community College and was named all-conference and all-region both years as a member of the baseball team.  Coach Houck then transferred to Peru State where he primarily played 3rd baseball for the Bobcats.  During Mark’s two year career he made his mark on the offensive side by ranking in the top 5 in several categories including the highest recorded on-base % at Peru St.  He also received all-conference honors in 2009.  He was also the 2009 recipient of the Bert Swenson Award which is given to the top Male athlete at Peru State each year.

Coach Houck is currently finishing up his Bachelors in Sport Management and will then begin work on his Master Degree.  He will work with the infielders and hitters this season along with assisting with recruitment.
