Traditional Freshman Orientation Dates
All first-year freshman students are required to attend New Student Orientation. Orientation is designed to prepare new students and their families for the Peru State College undergraduate experience.
During orientation, students will become acquainted with academic support services and co-curricular activities, receive placement testing, be advised in registering for classes, register for classes and complete several key processes that will help ensure academic success. This event is a morning full of information, important to the comfort level of being a new student on the campus of PSC.
There is not a fee to attend orientation and parents are encouraged to attend. We do recommend that you sign up for orientation as early as possible. The best selection of classes will be available to the students who register for classes early.
In order to participate in the orientation program, students must have applied for admission. To provide students excellent advisement, please make sure the Office of Admissions has official transcripts from your high school and all post-secondary institutions attended. Also, if you are an incoming freshman under the age of 21 please submit your ACT or SAT scores to the Office of Admissions.
Although we do not recommend changing sessions, if you are unable to attend the session which you have signed up for, please notify the Office of Admissions of the cancellation or need to reschedule.
While you are on campus for orientation, parking is allowed in any parking lot. Only undesignated vehicles parking in handicapped parking will be ticketed.
