New Student Weekend Schedule

 

Required Alcohol Education Course - Complete Prior to 8/15

 

New Student Weekend is designed to incorporate fun activities throughout the weekend which will allow you to get to know your fellow classmates, become more familiar with the campus and get settled in before classes start.  Here are a few details that will help you start the weekend off right:

 

10 AM – 1 PM

Move in to assigned residence hall.

 

Please follow the signs and staff directions as you approach campus. Our friendly staff will direct you to the appropriate location upon your arrival to Peru. Questions? Contact Residence Life at reslife@peru.edu or 402-872-2246.

 

Commuting students should plan on arriving to campus by 2 PM and report to the Al Wheeler Activity Center (AWAC).

 

If you did not attend a New Student Orientation program this summer, please plan on attending the Orientation session beginning at 8 AM. Check-in at the Jindra Fine Arts building for this Orientation session.

2 PM

New Student Weekend Welcome – President Hanson

 

3:15 PM

Parents – Parent Session optional (College Theatre) 
Students – NSW Check-In (Oak Bowl/Football Field)

 

4 PM – 5 PM

Campus Offices Open

 

5 PM

Picnic Dinner (Family Member Cost $5.75/ea)

 

NSW will continue into the evening with scheduled events through Sunday. (full schedule - subject to change)

 

New Student Weekend is packed full of activities and entertainment to help YOU become a successful college student. This weekend is a great opportunity to meet your fellow classmates as well as your fellow graduates! Your participation in the weekend is required for your College 101 course; please plan on attending all activities.
