All scholarships noted below are for first year, degree-seeking students who apply for regular admission to Peru State College seeking to be full-time students. Every student will be evaluated for scholarship eligibility. Scholarships requiring separate applications are specified in the descriptions below. All scholarships are subject to availability and are tuition waiver scholarships unless noted otherwise.

#BobcatSelfie Scholarship

Award Amount: $300 scholarship to each prospective student that participates
Best Selfie: Increase to $1,000 for the four students with the best selfie
Eligibility:
  1. Visit Campus

Board of Trustees Scholarship

Award Amount: Full tuition waiver renewable for four years
Deadline: January 15
Eligibility:
  1. Nebraska high school graduate or resident
  2. Enrolling for the first time at a post-secondary institution
  3. Minimum ACT of 25 or SAT of 1700

Governor's Opportunity Award

Award Amount: Half tuition waiver renewable for four years
Deadline: December 1
Eligibility:
  1. Nebraska high school graduate or resident
  2. Enrolling for the first time at a post-secondary institution
  3. 21-24 ACT score or 1500-1650 SAT score

Chancellors's Scholarship

Award Amount:

$3,000 tuition waiver renewable for four years

Deadline: January 15

President's Scholarship

Award Amount:

$2,000 tuition waiver renewable for four years

Deadline: January 15

Dean's I Scholarship

Award Amount:

$1,000 tuition waiver renewable for four years

Dean's II Scholarship

Award Amount:

$500 tuition waiver renewable for four years

Deadline: January 15

Cooperating Schools Scholarship

Award Amount:

Half on-campus tuition waiver renewable for four years

Deadline: January 15
Eligibility:
  1. Eligible Schools for 2015-2016
  2. Recommendation by your High School Counselor
  3. Rank in the top half of your graduating class
  4. Service to your high school and leadership qualities

Susan T. Buffett Foundation Scholarship

Application Period: Between November 1, 2014 and February 1, 2015
Description: The Susan T. Buffett Foundation provides scholarships that can be used to cover expenses related to attending college (e.g. tuition and fees, housing, books). The amount of the scholarship varies by institution but is typically equal to the average cost of tuition and fees for a full-time student (15 credits) at that institution. For example, the maximum 2014-15 scholarship amount was $3,700 per semester at the Nebraska State Colleges. Incoming freshmen planning to start at Peru State during the 2015-16 academic year can apply for this scholarship between November 1, 2014 and February 1, 2015. Early Entry Award

Award Amount: $50 for each credit hour of early entry taken through PSC while in high school.
Eligibility:
  1. Student must enter Peru State immediately following high school graduation.
  2. Must participate in early entry through Peru State and your high school

Athletic Scholarships

Award Amount: Coach's Discretion
Information:

PSC athletic teams offer scholarships in the form of tuition and room waivers to program participants for each of the eight athletic teams as well as cheerleading. Interested student athletes should contact the head coach for the sport of interest at 402-872-2350 or email athletics@peru.edu.


Art Scholarships

Award Amount: Amount Varies
Information:

Scholarships in the form of tuition waivers are available for students who major in art.  Demonstrated ability and department needs determine award recipients and amounts. A portfolio is required.  For additional information, contact the Art Department at 402-872-2271 or btrail@peru.edu.


Music Scholarships

Award Amount: Amount Varies
Information:

Music participation scholarships in the form of tuition waivers are available to participants in instrumental and vocal music organizations. An audition is required.  Award amounts are determined by demonstrated ability, musicianship and department needs. Music participation scholarships are available to all college students.
